Carolyn Pravda

Carolyn is Mom to Jack (CHP alum 2008-2011) and Maddy is in the 3’s. This is Carolyn’s second year on the CHP Board. She served last year as the Director of Fundraising. This year, she hopes to work together with the parents, board and teachers to foster an even stronger community cooperative spirit and continue working to make our school a warm, loving, educational experience for our kids. Kristin Brady
(non-voting member) - Board Documentation Specialist
Kristin Brady is mom to Charlie, in the 4's program, and alum William, now a 1st grader at PS 58. Kristin recognized the immense work done by CHP families each year for the benefit of the school, and she seeks to spend her first and final year on the board capturing and documenting this work so that it benefits the CHP community year after year. She would love to hear from parents who have ideas, comments, or suggestions about how to make the cooperative a lasting and ever-growing institution.
Heather Cross
Director of Board Development and Strategic Planning
Heather is mom to Ben, who will be starting at CHP in the 3s program in September 2012, and Claire, who had two wonderful years at CHP and will be starting Kindergarten at PS 58 in September. “After a year on the board heading up our fundraising efforts, I’m looking forward to leading our effort to plan for the future and strategizing to make CHP the best school it can be!”
Tracey Kitzman
Treasurer
Tracey is mom to Colin, who is starting his second year at CHP in the 4’s program, and Edrie, who will start in the 2’s program at some point. Last year, Tracey served as the treasurer for the fall auction and enjoyed getting to know and work with other families at CHP. She is looking forward to being part of the Board this year and happy to be a part of the CHP community.
Alexandra Lange
Secretary
Alexandra is mother to Paul, a recent CHP graduate, and Romy, who will start CHP in 2013. By day, she is an architecture and design critic, and she has always appreciated the creativity of the activities at school. Alexandra has just joined the CHP board, and hopes to use her critical and spatial skills to make the school an even better environment for learning.
Allison Leale
Director of Cooperative Oversight
Allison and her family joined the CHP family in 2009 when her son, Sean, was three, but now it's her daughter Anna's turn to join in the fun for the next two years. Allison was a teacher for eleven years before deciding to become a full-time mom and came to CHP because she loved the educational model. Since joining CHP, Allison has co-chaired the Fall Auction twice and served on the Fundraising Committee once. Allison's position of Director of Cooperative Oversight means that she will ensure that parents fullfill their assigned jobs and complete their parental duties. She will also be available to parents in regards to questions or concerns that they may have with their job responsibilities. "My goal this year is to have parents understand their roles and jobs more clearly so that they can feel confident that they are doing the best job possible". Libby Mayward
Vice President
Libby Mayward's daughter Molly is in the threes program and her older daughter, Margaux, a CHP alumni has moved on to Kindergarten. " I am pleased to have the opportunity to serve on the CHP board to give back to the families, teachers and staff - all of whom I've gained immense appreciation for over the years. I want to help the school address it's immediate needs as well as help shape the school's long term objectives. I hope to contribute significantly to CHP in way that only a voting board member can."
Bridget Roddy
Director of Fundraising
Bridget and her family joined CHP in 2010 and is the proud mom of Brendan, three's program, and Owen, CHP graduate and Kindergartner. Bridget joins the CHP board as Director of Fundraising having chaired the Spring Party event for CHP in 2012 and served on the Spring Fair committee in 2011. She is excited to work with new and returning faces to CHP this year to raise money for the school while at the same time building relationships and community within CHP.
Jessie Schilling
Director of Website & Marketing
Jessie is mom to Mathias who started in the twos program at CHP and will be attending the threes program in 2012-13. Jessie is a webmaster and a nonprofit manager who volunteered for the web team her first year at CHP. There she met Lisa Hinshaw, the former Website & Marketing Chair, who managed and produced the launch of the current CHP website. Jessie agreed to take over the care and maintenance of this wonderful site, and hopes it will continue to be a resource for parents who want to see what their children are reading, singing, creating and exploring.
