Kristin Brady | Director

Kristin is excited to bring to CHP her experience working in child-care and early childhood education, child advocacy, and nonprofit management.  She holds a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College and a Bachelors Degree from Stanford University.  Kristin first arrived at CHP in 2008 as a mom, joined the faculty in 2013, and stepped into the Director role in 2018. Prior to arriving at CHP, Kristin directed a suite of children's programs in Amherst, Massachusetts, ranging from babysitting to after school care to summer camp; she has taught in early childhood centers in Rhode Island and California; and she entered the field as a student teacher at Bing Nursery School, an early childhood center operated jointly by the Education and Psychology Departments at Stanford University. Born in Rhode Island and schooled in California, Kristin has fallen in love with Brooklyn, where she hopes to live forever with her husband Jack, children William and Charlie, and cat Cole.

Janie Greene | Operations Manager

Janie has been at CHP since September 2006, keeping the school running smoothly and efficiently. After graduating with a Masters in Social Work from New York University, she spent several years working in family day care and family counseling. She then pursued the corporate sector, and for eleven years, developed her administrative, IT and training expertise in Time Inc.’s properties, including Time, Fortune, Sports Illustrated, and People Magazines. She left in 1996 to become a full-time mom but simultaneously worked as a consultant, elementary school substitute teacher, and PTA Co-President at P.S. 29. A native of Brooklyn, Janie lived in Manhattan for most of her adult life, but the birth of her children brought her back to Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens. Married since 1981, Janie enjoys spending time with her husband David, a business analyst, and her two daughters, Sean and Corinne.

Stacy Foote | Operations Associate

Stacy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/English Literature from Baruch College in New York City.  She spent the early portion of her career working as an event planner on Wall Street. For seven years she worked in this fast paced environment planning conferences, dinners, golf outings and seminars.  Although the hours were long, the position brought her to exciting places such as Spain, Portugal, London, The Philippines, and Japan among many others.

After the birth of her first child, Stacy took a hiatus from the workforce to raise her children.  She was heavily involved in the PTA at her children’s school, PS 58 The Carroll School.  In 2011, she returned to the paid workforce and joined the team at CHP. Born and raised in Brooklyn Heights, Stacy has lived in Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Manhattan and now resides with her husband and two children in Carroll Gardens where she plans to stay!
