MICE SKATING

Lucy is brave and bold and unlike her fellow field mice who spend the winter huddling underground; she enjoys the wonders of the great outdoors. Lucy does what she can to have her friends join her in the snow but try as she might, she cannot convince them to leave their cozy burrow—that is until Lucy discovers ice skating! Ultimately, she comes up with a clever way to get her friends to leave their nest and then the fun begins.

Sometimes, even humans are not ready to brave the cold. Mice Skating will surely make you remember the joys of bundling up and ice skating.

This story is sweet and charming and filled with adorable illustrations done in warm dark hues. I predict that this book will become a favorite winter picture book at CHP.
